Most people will never know what it feels like to be on stage in front of a crowd, what does that feel like?

Pffttt...damned if we know!? I don't think you could qualify the folks who've braved our shows as "crowds". It's more of a hell level of poor souls who were too drunk to leave after the last band. In short; it rules.

Describe your typical stage show performance. What might we expect at your show and why we should go?

THE FRENZY OF TONGS

Expect to drop your jaw for one reason or another. It's pretty much a mixture of 80's pro wrestling, and a Mötley Crüe gig from the Girls, Girls, Girls tour...flashing lights, smoke, roaring guitars and a drummer with a big unit....minus, you know...a budget, talent or the girth. We're doing the same thing whether it's for 1 or 100, and it's big stupid fun. For the frenzy of tongs at least.

Tell us about your most memorable gig and why it was so great?

THE FRENZY OF TONGS

There's this Chinese restaurant in the middle of nowhere New Hampshire. Once a month, they have punk rock shows in the basement. Well we had no idea what to expect the first time we rolled up. Well once inside, the place was PACKED! And a good chunk of the kids actually knew the songs and sang along. Plus the smoke machine finally worked.

Tell us about your worst gig and why it was so bad?

THE FRENZY OF TONGS

You know...pretty much any gig not at that Chinese restaurant pales, but as long as we're playing there are no "worst" gigs. Again, we're playing for the folks who get it. Sometimes that's just us.

Tell Us About Your Dream Gig, who you'd like to play with, where?

THE FRENZY OF TONGS

Well there's been some talk abo...ok, "talk" is the wrong word. There's been muted whispers about us heading over to Japan for a few gigs. Our live shows are pretty cartoonish with a hint of a Japanese gameshow thrown in. So that or somewhere in eastern Europe.

Do you believe commercial/mainstream music has had a negative effect on new music, why or why not?

THE FRENZY OF TONGS

The mainstream is afraid of the frenzy of tongs, but the frenzy of tongs is not afraid of the mainstream! So draw your own conclusions.

Has the internet really been helpful to your promotion, why or why not?

THE FRENZY OF TONGS

Oh most certainly! We've got no delusions of grandeur, but if you assemble all the folks that somehow like us, it would look like a UN conference. Or at least the Don Swayze version of a UN conference. The internet is great because we're too old and/or lazy to be bothered to leave our basements (except when we have to play the odd show). It's probably doubled our fan base. There's at least 19 or 20 people out there that like us, but they're global!

Well I just recently discovered dodiy.org. It's like the good old days of book your own fucking life. There's also some great Internet radio sites like Punky! Radio and No Sale Radio and Red Black and Blue Radio and Tony Jones' Cretin Radio and Podunk Radio and garagepunk.com. There's also some great resources like Schizo Fanzine and Punks for a Princess and Standard Issue Punk Rock Zine. And we cannot forget the DJ Tanner Show streaming on WUNH!

Do you have a street team and how can you join?

We are the frenzy of tongs. We are the street team. But it's not paved. It it is pretty well washed out.

Are you looking to get a record deal, why or why not?

THE FRENZY OF TONGS

No. If we were it'd be with 75orLess, but then we'd have to do stuff. And they haven't asked.

What are your plans for the future, in a year, 5 years?

We don't plan. We let the path take us where it will.
